How Do I Create A Store?

The process to create a store could not be simpler, but before you can start you must first register and be logged in.

To Create a Store you need click on the link "My Account" from the main menu, then click "Create a new Store". Now complete these easy steps.

Enter Store Details

Enter Store details and optionally upload a logo and banner. Don't worry if you make a mistake or don't yet have a logo and banner, as you can edit your store details as often as you like. When finished, click Create, that it! Sounds simple and it really is.

The Store creation form has been designed to be extremely simple to use, however, it also allows html to be used when creating the store's pages which means that there are few limits to the design you can come up up with!

Lets look at what information can be entered in slightly more detail.

Store Name	The store's name, no duplicates are allowed within LocalAds.
Description	Short description of up to 80 characters of the store. Will help users differentiate your store from others on the store selection screen.
URL	You can optionally have your own unique LocalAds URL that allows customers / visitors to go directly to your store and only see the ads associated with your store. For example argos.localads.co.uk will take visitors directly to the argos store in Localads.
Home Page	The Store's Home Page. The place to sell your Store to visitors. HTML is allowed
About Us	The Store's About Us Page. Perhaps include back ground details about the store, contact information such as email address, phone number, address etc. The choice is yours. HTML is allowed
Logo	The Store's logo, which will be displayed on all of the Store's Ads. The logo's ideal size is 120 x 80, although larger images will be scaled down.
Store Type	You need to select a store type that best describes your business. For example, if you are running a shop, then select Local Store, or if you are running a mail order type business select National Store, or if you run a charity shop, select Charity. Monthly Charges	For Stores there is no charge currently. Its completely free abd will be until at least 2007!
Terms & Conditions	Please read the terms and conditions. By clicking the Terms & Conditions box you have indicated that you have done so.
Click Create	This will create the store. Ads can now be created in the store.
